This policy explains what personal information Ironclad Floors collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how you can get it deleted. We have written it in plain English on purpose. It follows Canada's federal privacy law for private-sector businesses, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Ironclad Floors, 276 Carlaw Ave #102b, Toronto, ON M4M 3L1, Canada.

What we collect

When you fill in the quote form on this site, you give us:

• Your name — so we know who we are speaking to.
• Your phone number — so we can call you back to book the on-site measure.
• Your email address — so we can send you the written quote.
• Your garage size and timeline — so we can price the job and schedule it sensibly.
• The page you submitted from — a technical field recorded automatically with your submission so we know which page or ad generated the enquiry.

That is the entire list. We do not ask for, and you should never send us, payment card numbers, banking details, your SIN or any government ID through this website.

Why we collect it

We use your information for one purpose: responding to your enquiry and quoting, scheduling and completing garage floor coating work for you. In practice that means calling or emailing you back, preparing your quote, booking the install, and following up about the job and its warranty.

We may also contact you afterwards about your floor or your warranty. If we ever want to send you marketing — promotions, seasonal offers — we will ask for your consent first, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and every message will have a working unsubscribe link.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, ever. We do not share it with other contractors or lead-buying networks.

The only parties that touch your form data are the service providers we use to run the business:

• Formspree — receives the form submission and forwards it to our inbox. Their servers are in the United States.
• Our email provider — where the enquiry lands and is read by our team.
• Cloudflare — hosts and serves this website, and processes standard technical request data such as IP addresses for security and delivery.

Because some of these providers store data outside Canada, mainly in the United States, your information may be processed there and can be subject to the laws of that country. We would also disclose information if we were legally required to — for example by a court order.

Analytics and advertising tools

We advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and use Google Analytics, so the Meta pixel and Google Analytics 4 may be enabled on this site. When they are active, they set cookies and similar identifiers and record technical and behavioural data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring source, and whether a visit led to a form submission. Meta may match that activity to an existing Facebook or Instagram account and use it to show you our ads.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and you can control ad personalisation in your Meta ad preferences. Blocking cookies in your browser also stops both.

Neither tool is used to make automated decisions about you, and neither receives the contents of your quote form beyond the fact that a submission happened.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become jobs: deleted within 24 months.
• Customers: kept for the life of your 10-year warranty plus one year, so we can honour warranty claims and meet Canadian record-keeping and tax obligations.
• Analytics data: retained according to the provider's own retention settings, typically 14 months.

How we protect it

This site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Access to enquiries is limited to the people at Ironclad Floors who need it to quote and complete work. Our providers are established companies with their own security programs. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not keep more of your information than the job requires, which is the most effective protection there is.

Your rights, and how to have your data deleted

Under PIPEDA you can, at any time:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• ask us to correct anything inaccurate;
• withdraw your consent to us using it (this may mean we can no longer quote or service your job);
• ask us to delete it.

Email ownthefirstpage@gmail.com or call (647) 641-6881 and say what you would like done. We will confirm your identity, act within 30 days, and confirm in writing when it is done. There is no charge.

A small amount of information may have to stay on file even after a deletion request — for example an invoice we are legally required to keep for tax purposes. If that applies, we will tell you exactly what was kept and why.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your privacy, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.

Children

This site is aimed at homeowners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be explained here rather than quietly edited in.
